The museum at "De Blokhuispoort" exhibits over 500 years of Leeuwarden prison history. The Blokhuispoort Foundation collects remarkable stories and pictures of the prison. Every three months there is a different exhibition concerning special events that took place in the prison. The museum is founded by employees of the Blokhuispoort Foundation and cooperates with the National Prison Museum Veenhuizen and with the Resistance Museum in Leeuwarden.
